The symptoms of depression range from being fully functional day-to-day to a complete inability to get out of bed and everything in between. We’re here to tell you that we care and with treatment, life will get better. If you or a loved one is suffering from depression please reach out.

Anxiety

  • Anxiety is your mind’s natural defense mechanism against potentially harmful or dangerous situations. Some of us have more active anxiety responses than others causing debilitating effects like panic, stomach churning, overactive thoughts, insomnia among other things. We want you to know that we’re here for you and we can help you master your anxiety through treatment.

Trauma

  • Trauma is not a one-size-fits-all diagnosis. It can manifest from many places including but not limited to physical or sexual abuse, neglect, rape, violence, war, natural disasters, etc. Traumatic events change your life and it’s important to understand how you’ve been affected. We understand the complexity of trauma and will work with you to process this in a safe space.

Stress

  • Stress is an overwhelming emotional pressure that can be difficult to cope with. It’s not just mental; stress also causes physiological responses in your body by inducing the release of “stress” hormones that also take their toll. It can be caused by things like work, family, or life changes. We listen to your stresses and provide a healthy outlet for releasing your emotions.

ADHD

  • Individuals with Attention-Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) often face challenges in regulating attention, controlling impulses, and organizing tasks. To address these issues, we employ Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) techniques, focusing on skill-building, behavioral interventions, and coping strategies. We address adult ADHD by understanding how it can impact relationships, careers, and communication. Additionally, psychoeducation and structured guidance can empower individuals to understand and manage their symptoms effectively.

Cultural Identity

  • No matter your background, individuals who are beginning their journey into understanding who they are and where they come from can experience a range of emotion. From being children of immigrants, to biracial identities, the distinction between cultural and faith, understanding your multicultural family, being in relationships with partners of different cultural backgrounds, intersectionality, parenting children with biracial identities, and other important life transitions connected to discovering cultural identity can all be explored as cultural identity work.

Women’s Health

  • Women face mental health issues related to challenges unique to our gender. Challenges like gender stereotyping, motherhood, trauma, abuse, among many other events may cause depression, anxiety, eating disorders, mood disorders, and low self esteem/worth for women. We focus on women’s health, including prenatal/postpartum depression, anxiety, and life transitions. As a female led practice, we know the issues you face, and we are here to help

Men’s Health

  • Men’s health issues encompass a range of concerns that may be influenced by societal expectations, gender roles, and unique life stressors faced by men. Challenges include emotional suppression, difficulty in expressing vulnerability, and struggles with identity or masculinity. We utilize an integrative approach to break down barriers, facilitate open communication, and empower men to build depth in their relationships with others and themselves.
